Maeve loved two things most of all: rockets and orangutans. Every morning, she would hop out of bed and say, “Zoom zoom! Who wants to go to space today?” Maeve had a big red rocket toy, shiny with silver stickers, and a cuddly orangutan named Ogi. She played with them every day, and she liked it best when it was just her, Ogi, and her rocket. One sunny day, Maeve’s friend Leo came over to play. Leo had curly hair, bright shoes, and a big smile. He brought his own favorite toy, a blue truck named Beep. “Can Ogi ride in my truck?” asked Leo, grinning. Maeve hugged her orangutan close.
